Dad’s History

Dad’s Organic Market is a privately owned company with stores located in Saskatoon and Regina, Saskatchewan. The majority owners, Carl and Ann Dyck, opened the first Dad’s Nutrition Centre in a 500 sq. ft. location in Warman, Saskatchewan in 1989 and offered mainly supplements products, as well as reflexology, Dad’s Saskatoon iridology and herbalist treatments. Carl, a certified Reflexologist, and Ann, a certified Herbalist and Iridologist, (both since 1989), built a reputation based on quality product and service which created a loyal clientele.

In 1991, Carl and Ann relocated their store to Saskatoon and began to expand their services to also offer organic and natural groceries. Today the Saskatoon store location offers 5800 sq. ft. of organic and natural groceries for every room in the house as well as an in-house scratch bakery.

In 2010, Dad’s Organic Market expanded into the city of Regina marketplace with their first pilot franchise store. The 6200 sq. ft. store offers a new organic and natural grocery shopping experience and is equipped with a full service butcher shop and scratch bakery. Dad’s ReginaThe Regina store is also the Dad’s Organic Market pilot franchise store and training centre which enables potential franchisees the opportunity to evaluate the Dad’s Organic Market franchise and participate in a thorough training program while a franchisee store is being constructed.
