Dad’s Deli
The deli at Dad’s Organic Market in Regina offers up a variety of fresh, frozen and prepared meats for our customers. Our staff makes sure that a variety of fresh cuts, frozen meats and lunch sandwich meats are available to all of our customers.
The star of our deli is the certified organic beef from Clear Creek Organics, a Saskatchewan company, who supplies us with ground beef and a variety of roasts and steaks. Our customers love the taste of the certified organic beef and has become very popular since we opened in Regina. We also carry certified organic lamb from Clear Creek Organics, available in cuts such as roasts, ribs, chops and ground.
We are very happy to offer Pine View Farms All Natural Meats in our deli section as well. Pine View Farms is located just outside of Osler, SK, and has been supplying Dad’s with their high quality meats for many years. Dad’s Regina currently carries Pine View chicken, from breasts to sausage, all of which are very popular at our store. We hope you’ll come in and try some!
Our deli also offers a number of other choices, such as bison and pork; we even had kangaroo steaks one time (they’re low in fat and so can be a challenge to cook tender, but as long as you’re careful they turn out pretty good)! Our bison comes from Rocking C Ranch near Fort Qu’Appelle, and we carry a variety of their roasts, ground bison and very popular bison burgers. The bison is not organic, though is raised without steroids or growth hormones (source: www.canadianbison.ca).
As with the bison, some products are not organic, so please be sure to check the product name on the label to make sure. The reason we carry some non-organic products in our deli is to support local farmers who may not have the financial ability to convert their farms to organic, provide a wider variety of products (not all meats are even available in an organic variety) and offer better prices to our customers when the organic option would simply be out of reach for most people. We are trying our best to strike a fair balance between organic options, variety, fair prices and supporting local farmers.
